Day 01 - ........./RIO DE JANEIRO Arrival at International Airport, reception and private transfer to selected hotel (4nts). Luxor Regente Hotel or similar. After lunch ½ day Tour to Sugar Loaf. Driving the narrow streets, passing by the Metropolitan Cathedral, some futuristic office Buildings, the municipal theatre and the main avenue of Rio Branco passing through Flamengo Park and Botofogo before arriving at Urca and the cable car Station to the Sugar Loaf. By cable car to the first stage, the Morro da Urca mountain ( 220 meters),walk to the other side of the mountain to take the next cable car to Sugar Loaf ( 395 meters). Time at leisure. Return to the ground level. Return to hotel. Night free. Day 02 - RIO DE JANEIRO Breakfast at hotel. Departure from the hotel to the Corcovado railway station at the foot of the Corcovado Mountain. A 3,5km. ( 25 minutes) train ride through the lush mountain greenery to the station on the top of the mountain.Walk 222 steps from the train staton to the 38 meter high Statue of Christo Redentorr, 710 m. above sea level.Time at leisure. Return to the train and ride back to the Corcovado railway station. The tour continues through the 2,1 km. long "Rebouças" tunnel, passing by the lake"Rodrigo de Freitas",through the tunnel "Two Brothers", the living area of São Conrado and on to Barra da Tijuca, Rio´s newest and fastest growing living area. Drive along the beaches of Barra da Tijuca, São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana to the northern part of Rio with stop at "Sambodromo", the purposed built Stadium where the Samba-Schools perfom during the carnival. Next stop is the biggest soccer stadium in the world, Maracanã with capacity for morethan 160.000 spectators. The tour continues to the downtown area, which is the business heart of Rio but it is also here where the historical sites of Rio are. Night at leisure. Day 03 - Rio de Janeiro Breakfast at hotel. Half Day Favela Tour.Guided tour, by open jeep, into the largest shanty town ( or favela), Rocinha, are interesting and reveal that life there is nothing like as bad as one might imagine . Day 04 - Rio de Janeiro Breakfast at hotel. ½ day Jeep Safari Tour to Parque da Tijuca. Day 05 - Rio de Janeiro/Paraty Breakfast at hotel. Departure and private transfer to Parati ( 261 km). Arrival and accommodation at hotel Santa Clara or Pousada das Bromélias ( 2 nights). Parati, has more and more importance as a tourist pole: A natural development for this small town, that presents a very harmonius architectural and historical compound and in the back a protected bay with 300 beaches and 65 idyllic islands.Beautiful colonial city, considered a National and World Historical Monument, it preserves until today its countless natural and architectural charms.It can be explored on foot , free of cars. Day 06 - Parati Breakfast at hotel. Free day at leisure. Use your free day to walk throught for the historical streets and to appreciate the beautiful landscape that Parati offers. Day 07 - Parati / Ilhabela Breakfast at hotel. In combined schedule, departure across Rio-Santos Road,one of most beautiful of the Brazilian coast, with destination the Ilhabela.Arrival and accommodation at Porto Pacuíba Hotel or Pousada do Capitão, for 2 nights. Without a shadow of a doubt, Ilhabela is one of the most beautiful spots on the coast between Santos and Rio of volcanic origin, the island´s starting montanious scenery rises to 1.370m and is covered in dense, tropical foliage. Its dozens of waterfalls, beautiful beaches. Day 08 - Ilhabela/Bonete (Trekking - Avarege Level) Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Praia do Bonete ( a 4 hours walk), passing through two waterfalls. Overnight at rustic hotel on the beach, with dinner included. Day 09- Bonete/Praia de Castelhanos/Ilhabela (Trekking - High Level) Breakfast at hotel. In combined schedule departure to Castelhanos Beach ( 8 hours) into the atlantica forest. Return to Hotel Porto Pacuiba or Pousada Capitão by jeep through the Interestate Park. Day 10 - Ilhabela Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure .Vehicle at your disposal for personal strolls and activities,we suggest to take the day to explore the incredibles beaches. Day 11- Ilhabela/São Paulo Breakfast at hotel. Continuation across Rio-Santos to São Paulo ( 210 km.). Arrival and accommodation at hotel Holiday Inn Jaragua Hotel. São Paulo, the most important state economically in Latin America, offers an intense artistic and cultural life and a infinity gastronomic and diversion attractions. One will not know São Paulo completely if a visit to a museum was not made .They have got collections of famous international painters and national artists,and also a visit to the great cultural centres. Take advantage of the nightlife and check out the bars, quiet and busy ones, discos and nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, performances, shows, all kinds of dance performances, pubs and everything else that you can imagine. Day 12 - São Paulo Breakfast at hotel. Departure for the Historic City Tour. Visit to Pátio do Colégio, Solar da Marquesa, Mosteiro de São Bento, Memorial do Imigrante, Monumento à Independência, Casa do Grito, Museum Paulista, Jardim da Luz, Estação Julio Prestes, Sala São Paulo, Pinacoteca do Estado. Lunch at Terraço Itália Restaurant. In afternoon departure in direction to Av. Paulista, passing through Praça da República, MASP, considered the most important museum of Arts in Latin America, OBELISCO (Mausuleum),Bandeiras Monument, MAM ( Modern Art Museum). Finally walk tour into the Ibirapuera Park to observe the Arquiteture of Oscar Niemayer, and local landscape. Return to hotel. At night we suggest dinner at one Pizzaria. ( Pizzas in São Paulo are considered the best of the world). Day 13 - São Paulo Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure. Transfer to Airport or departure to Lençois Maranhenses, or to Amazon.
